Basically, liquid cultures are mycelium grown in a liquid environment as opposed to growing on a solid substrate such as agar. These liquid cultures are syringes filled with a mix of this growing mycelium and nutritious liquid and can be used to inoculate anything from agar plates, grains, sterilized substrates, or even more liquid culture of your own. Each syringe comes with 12 ml of liquid culture, which in our experience is enough to inoculate 6 X 5 lbs bags of sterilized grain.
Liquid cultures can be stored in a refrigerator to preserve the viability for months possibly years. We recommend using them as soon as possible while your cultures are fresh.
Syringes do not come with instructions. Please research growing techniques before purchasing.
